为了积极配合校大学生英语演讲比赛的开展，响应广大英语爱好者的要求，同时为了调动同学们对英语学习的兴趣，提高同学们的英语口语能力和实用能力，举行了这次英语演讲比赛，经过老师的大力支持和各部门的帮助以及参赛选手的努力，本次比赛基本上取得了成功，能够达到预期的目的。

活动时间：x年3月29日

活动地点：图书馆报告厅

一，流程安排：主持人宣布演讲比赛开始，并介绍评委及嘉宾。进入比赛第一关，选手按顺序进行演讲，演讲内容包括绿色奥运，环境保护，热爱家乡等方面。演讲过后，由国贸的同学演唱一首英语歌曲《bigbigworld》，调节现场气氛。然后进入第二关：即兴演讲。选手现场抽题，10秒钟准备时间后选手开始演讲，演讲主题各不相同，这主要考验选手的应变能力和英语的语言功底。演讲结束后进行了现场互动，主持人让现场观众回答有关奥运体育项目的英语单词，并送出了我们准备的奖品。然后，主持人公布比赛结果并由评委为选手颁发奖状及奖品。外籍教师在为选手颁奖后做了精彩演讲。本次比赛进行的很顺利，锻炼了选手，丰富了同学们的课余生活，达到了预期的效果。

二，活动心得：本次比赛虽然时间比较仓促，但在老师及学生会成员的大力支持与帮助下，我们在三天的时间内将比赛准备好，从选手报名到通知选手相关事宜，从布置赛场和安排人员座位，每一项工作我们都尽力做好。我们在做每一项工作之前，都想好了这项工作应该注意的.细节。由此，我们知道，只要我们做事认真用心，团结合作，我们一定能把事情做好。

三，活动意义：本次比赛，积极响应了我校提出的“学风建设工程”的号召，在我院建立起良好的英语学习氛围，树立良好的学风，并及时配合学校的各项工作，建立和谐校园。另外，此次比赛使得参赛选手充分展现了自我，肯定了自我，使选手们克服了对开口讲英语的恐惧感，树立学好英语的信心，更加调动了选手对英语学习的积极性，考察并提高了选手对英语的运用及应变能力。此次比赛，不仅丰富了同学的课余生活，并更能够丰富同学的语言文化，增强同学的主人翁意识。也希望通过本次比赛，让越来越多的同学喜欢英语，学习英语，热爱英语，为北京奥运讲英语。本文选自

四，存在问题：在比赛过程中，我们发现了很多不足之处，比赛仍有很多漏洞。首先，在为评委准备笔时，我们忽略了笔没有水的问题，结果真的有一支笔不好使了。因此，我们的比赛很可能就是因为一支笔而不能正常进行。从中，反映了我们的工作的不细致，一些细节问题没有注意到，是我们工作的一大疏忽。其次，在每位选手结束演讲后，我们没有安排专门的工作人员去评委手中拿评分表，不得不让我部部长去担任此工作，这同样是我们工作的不周全之处，人员安排上仍不是很合理。还有，在比赛进行到即兴演讲环节时，主持人让第一环节的得分最高的选手先抽题进行演讲，这样安排同样也是不合理的，而是应该让得分高的选手后演讲，留给她更多的时间去思考，以便其更好的发挥出其过人的英语口语水平，展示其英语功底。所以，我们会吸取本次比赛的经验教训，在以后的工作中，注重细节，考虑周全，争取将工作做的更好！

五，改进意见：就活动中存在的缺点及不足予以改正，用心考虑好每一个细节，要做到精益求精，工作分工要明确，人员安排要合理有序，对于比赛现场有可能发生的事情，提前想好对策。虽然本次活动在音响和话筒上没有出现较大的问题，但是我们以后在搞活动的同时仍然会在这方面多加注意。我们会在此次活动的基础上，改进缺点与不足，继续发扬此次活动的优点，在不足之处，我们会在以后的活动中多加注意，争取将缺点一一改正。此外，在这学期之内，我们部会开展更多更加有意义的活动，来丰富同学的课余生活，从活动中感受快乐！

When first day I came to University, I really feel that the school is very good, but at the first sight of the dormitory, something disappointing come up to me! The condition of the dormitory is really very poor with only one room, no lavatory! I saw something sad in my father’s eyes, maybe that time he thought of the poor condition! So with a big smile on my face, I told my father” it doesn’t matter, Dad. In this kind of condition, I will get myself better!” My father felt better. But when he was coming back, seeing his back, I just wanted to cry! And then I came to my dormitory 303. I considered that I would spend four years here (in fact I moved to another one year later) and my dorm mates are all there. Most of them came from Sichuan and they were chatting with a happy voice, but I can’t understand them! Again, I felt myself isolated! I hated that kind of feeling, and then I said to hello to them! To my surprise they are very friendly to me and warm-hearted! I no longer felt afraid. And I got along well with them. But at the first night here, I burst out to tears for that I was missing my family. I don’t know why. Everyday when I was at home, I was just eager to go to school, to experience the wonderful college life but when coming here, I am just eager to go back! It’s quite strange though, you must know this kind of feeling!

Just spending about 2 days here, we were on our way to military train. To us, it’s a fresh train and a kind of experience to know the life between the classmates. But to me, I was nervous but excited. This was my first and precious train life because before going to school I have been staying with my family. So, you know, it’s just this kind of feeling I can’t convey it clearly! The train life is impressive on everybody; we had a lot of activities, for example giving a speech on a stage or singing together or playing basketball. At that time, I felt myself so little among them. All of them have a special talent but not me. I admired them but meanwhile jealousy. Why don’t I have this kind of talent? Am I stupid? I always said to myself. So that time I was also very ambitious, just eager to catch up with them. Except the classmates, the trainer in our team also left a deep impression on me! He was not very handsome and very kind. Just because of his kindness results in my laughter when training. He always said to me that I should be serious in the team but I didn’t listen to him. So after a long time, when investigating the training result, I gave them a disappointing answer. The highest trainer sent me to clean the toilet, although, it didn’t means insulting to my dignity, but I was really sad about myself and my heart was hurt. That was a small thing but told me that I need to be serious to one thing. And unhappiness passed, the happy and funny time recalled me that folding the blanket. Yeah, it’s really very funny. Most of us had never folded the blanket and naturally we can’t accomplish the task well. When the monitor came, we pleased him to help us to fold the blanket. To our expect, we managed to persuade the monitor. After the monitor finished the task for me. I dared not to touch the blanket again and just used the clothes instead of the blanket. 第四，大赛有待改进之处：

1.本次大赛比较遗憾的地方就是全系11个班没有全部进入复赛，这是我们大赛主办方不愿看到的。在我们以后的工作中要加强与各班的联系，不再让学生失去一次表现自己的机会。

2.今年的大赛除要求学生上交打印稿之外，还要求学生上交个人文档。但是收到的文档格式不一，对赛前文档管理带来一定麻烦。下次比赛将对这两项作出规定，使其统一化。

本次大赛总的来说是圆满成功的。总之，细节决定成功！相信以后的法政系大学生英语演讲比赛会越办越好！
